Richard D. Arndt, 68, of Watertown, passed away at his home on Monday, March 17, 2014. Richard Dean was born in Waukesha, on Aug. 15, 1945, son of Paul R. and Lucille M. (Hill) Arndt. He was a 1963 graduate of Fort Atkinson High School and served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany and Italy, during Vietnam from 1965 to 1971. He had been employed at Laddish Malt and at General Motors, in Janesville. On July 31, 1982, Richard married Vicky Lyn McCallum at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in N. Burnett. Richard was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Milton, and Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Watertown. He enjoyed woodworking and manicuring three acres in Milton.

Survivors include his wife, Vicky Arndt of Watertown; his daughter, Stephanie (Brian) Burg of Seattle, WA; a grandchild that is due the end of August; his sisters and brothers: Betty Mueller of Janesville, Jean Tengowski of Lena, IL, Donald (Helen) Arndt of Jefferson; brother-in-law, Francis Janke of Minnesota; sister-in-law, Florence Arndt of Fort Atkinson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Bernice Janke; a brother, Robert; brothers-in-law, Marvin Tengowski and Reinhart Mueller; a niece, Sandra Schultz; and a nephew, Kyle Schoening.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at 3 PM at IMMANUEL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH in Watertown, with Rev. Dean Natterstad officiating. Military Rites will be preformed immediately following the service at the CHURCH. A Visitation will be held from 2 PM until the time of the service. Memorials would be appreciated to Rainbow Hospice.
