Sandy L. Bouton, age 62, of Janesville, died peacefully on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at her home with her husband/best friend by her side. She was born on Oct. 3, 1951, in Fort McCoy, WI, the daughter of Paul V. and Magdalen "Madge" E. (Frederick) Schaitel. Her mother was living in Cashton, WI, with her four children at the time of Sandy's birth, while her husband was serving in the Korean Conflict. Sandra is the fifth child of eight children and the most tender hearted and quiet one. She graduated from Parker High School in 1969, and later married Glen Bouton in Janesville, on Jan. 23, 1981. Sandy worked as a machine operator at Monterey Mills, Accudyne and Panoramic Corp. She enjoyed reading, gardening, trailer camping in Bagley, WI, and spending time with neighbors and family relaxing on their patio. It is well known that she and Glen were never too busy to lend a helping hand to others.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Glen; her son, Shane; and two step-sons, Shawn and Shannon, all of Janesville; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her mother, Madge Schaitel of St. Elizabeth Manor in Footville. She is further survived by her sisters: Jann (John) Roethe of Edgerton, Linda (Duane) Heim of Edgerton, and Carole (Alan) Falk of Fort Wayne, IN; her brother, Tom Schaitel of Janesville; brother-in-law, Tom Burdick of Davis, IL; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by three siblings: Nancy Burdick, Paul J. Schaitel and Karen Schaitel.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at the WHITCOMB - LYNCH FUNERAL HOME with Fr. James Kuhn officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service at the FUNERAL HOME.

We know quite simply, that the world is a better place for Sandy having lived in it. Her legacy will never fade, her spirit will always be with us, and her love will live forever in the hearts of all who knew her.
