April 1 is the day for local elections in Wisconsin. People elected that Tuesday usually have the most impact on local people. You will feel the impact of local elections on the things you hold most dear: issues that affect your roads, streets, parks, community buildings, schools, water resources and your daily life in general.

First, I urge you to vote in the April election, either at the polls or by absentee ballot, which you can get from your municipal clerk.

In Lake Geneva’s 3rd District, we have Richard Peterson, a former alderman running for election.

Peterson is financing his own campaign. He has a proven record of controlling spending and adhering to the budget. His top priorities are maintaining green areas and water resources, namely Geneva Lake.

Be sure to vote Tuesday, April 1. And in Lake Geneva, vote for Peterson
