Update: Crews respond to sorority house fire in Whitewater
WHITEWATER--Multiple fire departments have responded to a structure fire at the Tri Sigma sorority house in Whitewater this morning, according to the Whitewater Fire Department.
A person inside the home at 619 W. Main St., called 911 at 10:44 a.m. to report the fire, a dispatcher said.
The fire was put out in 30 minutes.
Firefighters from Elkhorn, Racine, Town of Beloit and Helenville were dispatched to assist.
The Janesville Fire Department also sent an ambulance, according to the department.
Only one minor injury was reported during the incident, and all residents have been accounted for, according to a news release from the Whitewater Police Department.
The extent of the structure damage remains unknown, and the cause of the fire has not been determined, according to the release.
The incident remains under investigation.
The home is on the southeast corner of the University of Wisconsin -Whitewater campus.

have joined efforts to provide housing and other needs to the displaced students.
According to a UW-Whitewater release, 23 students were displaced by the off-campus fire.
The Office of Residence Life will provide housing for students displaced by the fire.
The Office of Academic Affairs will work with instructors to accommodate students who missed any exams or coursework.
