Dennis “Denny” Fargo, age 65, of Clinton, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, surrounded by his family in his home. Denny was born Aug. 30, 1948, to the late Wallace and Doris (Hodgson) Fargo in Mt. Horeb, WI. He was a 1966 graduate of Mt. Horeb High School. Denny entered into the U.S. Army on April 18, 1968, and served his Country in Vietnam until his honorable discharge on Nov. 22, 1969. Denny worked for Chrysler in Belvidere, IL, for 33 years, retiring in 2001. He was a member of the VFW Post 10430 of Clinton, American Legion Post 440 of Clinton, and the UAW Local 1268. Denny enjoyed his retirement, hunting, fishing, camping and working in the yard. His greatest joys were being a Dad, “Uncle Santa”, Grandpa and being able to take his family on many family vacations.

Denny is survived by his special partner, Bette Edwards; a daughter, Tina (John) Petersen of Beloit; a son, Scott Fargo of Appleton, WI; step-daughter, Christine (Joseph) Baker; five brothers and sisters: Stephen Fargo of Mt. Horeb, WI, Richard Fargo of Arena, WI, Danne Fargo of Blanchardville, WI, Mary Fargo of Mt. Horeb, WI, Michael Fargo of Mt. Horeb, WI; four grandchildren: Garrett Petersen, Craig Petersen, Riley Edwards and Elliana Baker; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters: Wanda Verdegan, Joyce Fargo, Shirley Edwards; a brother, Harvey Fargo; and a granddaughter, Anna Petersen.

Denny’s Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at the BRIAN G. MARK FUNERAL HOME, 1000 Inman Parkway, Beloit, with Rev. Thomas G. Groth officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at the FUNERAL HOME from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Full Military Burial Rites will follow Denny’s service. A memorial is being established in Denny's name.
