-- NICHOLAS S. WEDDE, 19, of Oregon, at 10:20 p.m. Sunday at the Target store parking lot, 2017 Highway 14, Janesville, on charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, after police conducted a buy of 2.3 ounces of suspected marijuana. Also arrested was a passenger in Wedde's vehicle, Hillary S. Lessner, 22, of McFarland, on a charge of possession of prescription pills.

-- ANDREW J. JOHNSON, 20, of N9278 Stewart School Road, East Troy, at 7:25 p.m. Sunday at Highway 14 and Milton Avenue, Janesville, on charges of possession with intent to deliver 200 grams or less of marijuana and possession of prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia.

-- KEVIN B. AHERN, 50, of 2854 Westwood Drive, Janesville, at 3:06 p.m. Saturday at 1107 Putnam Ave., Janesville, on charges of possession with intent to deliver 200 grams or less of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a probation violation.

Intoxicated driving arrests

-- CHARLES F. GROSS, 24, of 3007 Palmer Drive, No. 25, Janesville, at 4:20 a.m. Sunday at Beloit Avenue and Delavan Drive, Janesville.


-- HIGH-SPEED CHASE, at 3:56 a.m. Saturday on Bullard and Tolles roads, ending on at Highway 138 at the Dane County line. A truck whose driver was suspected of intoxicated driving led sheriff's deputies on a chase. The driver was arrested on charges of knowingly fleeing an officer, second-offense driving while intoxicated and endangering safety by intoxicated use of a firearm for shooting a shotgun on some DNR land. The driver and another man in the truck were later arrested on charges of criminal damage for shooting mailboxes. A double-barrel shotgun with one live round, buckshot and a SOG Jungle Primitive were among items seized from the truck.

-- FRAUD, reported at 3:15 p.m. Monday to a resident at the 2600 block of Harvard Drive, Janesville. A woman said someone had used her VISA credit card without her permission, charging $533 in items at a Target store in Texas.


-- METAL POLE SHED, at 11317 Skinner Road, town of Newark, at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday. No animals were in the shed at the time, and the cause is unknown, according to the Orfordville Fire Department. Damage is estimated at $5,000 for the structure and $2,000 in contents.

-- FURNACE/CHIMNEY FIRE, at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at a residence at 2807 Afton Road, Janesville. The Janesville Fire Department responded to an oil furnace fire. The fire damaged the furnace but stayed confined to the furnace's oil burner and the chimney, according to the fire department.

Injury accidents

-- KELLOGG AVENUE AT CROSBY AVENUE, JANESVILLE, at 10:36 a.m. March 3, when a car driven by Megan J. Rasmussen, 19, of 5180 Town Hall Road, Delavan, was westbound on Kellogg, tried to avoid a vehicle slowing ahead of her and slid on the icy surface into an Alliant power pole. She was treated and released at St. Mary's Janesville Hospital and cited for driving too fast for conditions.
