Richard “Dick” Darwin Helgesen, age 83, of Ocala, FL, and formerly of Janesville, died on Friday, March 7, 2014, in Ocala, FL. He was born in Milton Junction, on March 10, 1930, the son of Sever A. and Mary (Kundert) Helgesen. Dick built homes and was a realtor in Florida, and a jack-of-all-trades, owning and participating in many businesses. He loved Florida, calling it his home. He was a member of First Lutheran Church.

Dick is survived by his 38 nieces and nephews; many grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews; and three sisters-in-law: Mert Helgesen of Janesville, Dorothy Helgesen of Evansville, and Lucy Helgesen of Lac du Flambeau. He was preceded in death by his parents, and seven brothers and three sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014, at FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. James Melvin officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
