Clinton man arrested for fifth OWI

JANESVILLE — A Clinton man was arrested for his fifth operating while intoxicated offense after Janesville Police stopped him early Sunday morning, according to a newsrelease by the Janesville Police Department.

An officer stopped Jeremiah T. Smith, 30, of 9812 E. Creek Rd., Clinton, at the intersection of North High and Race streets on Janesville's west side at 1:32 a.m., according to the release.

Smith had a blood alcohol content of .10, according to the release.

He was booked into the Rock County Jail on the OWI offense and a probation hold. Smith has a revoked driving status, according to the release.
