Shirley J. Kelly, 75, of Beloit, WI, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, in her home. She was born June 6, 1938, in Flora, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Daisy (Brinkley) Harmon. Shirley was a 1956 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School. She married James E. Kelly in 1958. He predeceased her on Feb. 16, 1973. Shirley was formerly employed by the School District of Beloit as a teacher’s aide, retiring on June 10, 1999. She continued as a substitute teacher for the school district from 2001 to 2002. Shirley loved traveling and sewing. She enjoyed collecting coins and teddy bear memorabilia.

Survivors include her two daughters, Dawn Kramer of Texas, and Karen (Tom) Frye of Edgerton, WI; two sons, Kevin (Dorothy) Kelly and Keith Kelly, both of Beloit, WI; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Roger Harmon of Beloit; two nephews, Bobby and Scott Harmon; one great niece; and three great nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; sister-in-law, Sally Harmon; son-in-law, Mark Kramer; and nephew, Gerald Harmon.

There will be no services. DALEY MURPHY WISCH & ASSOCIATES FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with the arrangements.
