Your Views: Republican Party needs true conservatives

A couple of decades ago, the Republican party had a platform of small government and strong constitutional views. Since then, the GOP has been infiltrated with neoconservatives, causing the party to split between those with conservative, tea party-type views and those that support the UN: pre-emptive wars, international treaties, and basically globalist views.

Congressman Paul Ryan is a textbook example. He beats the drum of constitutional, conservative views, but in reality, his voting record speaks otherwise. He is a classic neoconservative. We must for the state of our nation judge our politicians by what they vote on not by what they say.

Most recently, his support for amnesty for illegal aliens is justified by saying that “if there’s a fine, then it’s not amnesty.” Really Paul? It’s a typical political solution. The fact is that if they get in back of the line, then maybe it’s not amnesty.

The bottom line is that the only way to fix this nation is to replace these rank-and-file GOP globalists with true conservatives who aren’t afraid to implement the Constitution and who know the separation of powers so they can restrain the executive branch.

This growing, activist government has been stifling our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. It’s destroying the American Dream with Marxist/Leninist policies. Divide and conquer is their m.o., and we haven’t been this divided since the Civil War, and this is by design. Only Godly statesmen and our Constitution can save us now.
