Walter J. Kueng, Edgerton, WI (1939-2014)
May 28, 1939 - February 20, 2014
Walter J. Kueng – “Wally”, 74, of Edgerton, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, at his home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 28, 1939, in Monroe, WI, son of the late John and Nellie (Kubly) Kueng. He was a 1957 graduate of Juda High School. After graduation, Wally farmed full time. He started working at General Motors, Janesville, in October 1958. He worked at GM for 50 years in the paint department and, later, as a tool crib attendant until his retirement. He was a member of the UAW Local 95. Throughout life Wally always found time to lend a helping hand to friends and family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, water skiing, snowmobiling and going to a casino or two. He loved to collect farm toys, antique cars and as Wally would say “a little something of everything.” There was not an auction he was able to drive by without stopping. Later in life, his special love was spending time with his grandchildren.
Wally is survived by one daughter, Carol (Delbert) Harried of Edgerton; and three sons: Christopher Kueng of Edgerton, Kevin (Cate) Kueng along with granddaughters, Claire, Abigail and Lydia, of Milton, and Ken (Marie Rickard) Kueng of Edgerton, and grandsons, Ryan (Megan) Harried of Milwaukee, Ross Harried of Fitchburg. Debra Hale of Edgerton, was also a special friend to Wally. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Doris, Robert, Willis and Shirley.
