Man faces fourth drunken-driving offense

JANESVILLE—A 48-year-old Janesville man was being held at the Rock County Jail after being arrested on a charge of fourth-offense drunken driving Friday night.

According to a Janesville Police Department news release, officers stopped a vehicle driven by Chad D. Huber, of 729 Cornelia St., Janesville, just before midnight Friday at Railroad Street and East Memorial Drive that appeared to be speeding.

The officer smelled the odor of intoxicants and Huber admitted to drinking. After he failed his field sobriety tests he was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated. Department of Transportation records showed Huber to have three prior Operating While Intoxicated offenses. The last occurred more than five years ago.

His blood alcohol concentration was nearly three times the legal limit. according to the release.
