Mary Alice Thoms, 79, of Milton, died on Feb. 25, 2014, at Heartwarming House, Milton. She was born in Beloit, on June 2, 1934, the daughter of Harley and Lillian (Klemstine) Wolfrom. She married Malcolm Thoms in First Presbyterian Church, Clinton, on June 6, 1953. Mary had been employed for several years by Milton College and worked the Milton election polls for 25 years as a ballot clerk. She was a lifetime member of First Congregational Church, Milton, and served as a deacon for a number of years as well as volunteering at the church's Bargain Shop. She was a Brownie leader for many years and enjoyed cooking, crafts, playing cards, and spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her husband, Malcolm; four daughters: Marie of Milton, Wendy Dallman of Janesville, Cindy of Janesville, and Susan (Fidel) Salazar of Fort Atkinson; three grandchildren: Andrea Kjell, Brianna Dallman, Marissa Salazar; one great-grandchild, Noah; and one sister, Bonnie Whalen. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Doris; her half sisters, Betty and Beverly; and her half brothers, Harold and Raymond.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the First Congregational Church, Milton, with Rev. Herb Saunders officiating. Burial will follow the service at Milton Junction Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the CHURCH from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service. ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, MILTON, are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials in Mary's name may be made to the First Congregational Church, Milton.
