JANESVILLE—A boy told police he had sexual contact with a Janesville man more than once a day, on average, for nearly seven months before the man was arrested last week, according to a criminal complaint.

Kenneth K. Kimpel, 48, of 468 W. Delavan Drive, Janesville, is charged in Rock County Court with repeated sexual assault of a child and child enticement.

The combined maximum prison terms for those crimes are 65 years.

The 14-year-old told authorities the assaults began in late July 2013 in a makeshift bedroom in a detached garage at the Delavan Drive address where Kimpel lived, according to the criminal complaint.

The boy told police the assaults began after Kimpel hired him to do yard work, according to the criminal complaint.
