JANESVILLE—A new memorial brick campaign provides an opportunity to memorialize your beloved pet, that special someone who had a great love of animals or someone who supports the Rock County Humane Society and its efforts.

Path to Paws was created by a Janesville Leadership Development Academy team for the Rock County Humane Society and launched through a $15,000 gift from Data Dimensions.

Team members include Jessica Johnson, Donna Sykora, Robert Bastien, Michael Reuter, Jamie Merath and Kaili Lee.

The engraved brick pavers eventually will be placed in a new 20-by-20-foot patio at the animal shelter, 222 S. Arch St. Volunteers will provide all of the tools, materials, time and talent to build it.

The $15,000 donation paid for all of the bricks, said Brett Frazier, humane society executive director.

“Thanks to the generosity of Data Dimensions, 100 percent of every dollar someone invests in a brick will help the lost and homeless pets and our shelter,” he said.

Proceeds from Path to Paws will help the humane society pay for a new on-site veterinarian and medical equipment later this year.

Patio construction will depend on how quickly the bricks are sold, Frazier said.

When completed, the patio will be used by the shelter to host outdoors events, including fundraisers and Business After Five networking socials.
