Boys swim: Madison Memorial wins state again

As expected, Madison Memorial dominated Saturday's WIAA Division 1 state swimming and diving meet.

The Spartans, thanks to victories in four events, finished with 319 points to easily win their fourth straight state title. Big Eight Conference rival Madison West was second with 216.5, while Hartland Arrowhead was third with 194.5.

Janesville Parker's 200 freestyle relay team of Mark Gosline, Sam Amundson, Austin Wolter and Ethan Perry entered the state meet as the 19th seed but took nearly two seconds off its qualifying time in finishing 12th. The team finished with a time of 1:29.63, with Memorial winning the event in 1:25.42.

Janesville Craig's Peter Loftus finished 18th in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:01.54.
