Area boys hoops: Elkhorn grabs nonconference victory

Arik Anderson and Aaron Wales combined for 18 points during a big first half that paved the way for the Elkhorn boys basketball team on Thursday night.

Each player had nine points at halftime, an the Elks cruised to a 61-41 nonconference victory over visiting Williams Bay.

Anderson finished with 14 points, while Wales had 11.

The Elks finished the regular season with an 8-14 record. They open WIAA Division 2 tournament play at Delavan-Darien on Tuesday.

Southern Lakes

•  Badger 63, Wilmot 48—Lincoln Wieseman scored 18 points and the Badgers closed out their regular season with a road victory.

The Badgers finished the season with an 11-11 overall record and were 6-8 in the Southern Lakes.

They play at Janesville Craig to open WIAA Division 1 regional play on Tuesday.
