BELOIT—An elderly man suffered multiple stab wounds, and a younger man was arrested on a charge of attempted homicide in the assault Tuesday.

Beloit police were summoned at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday to a residence in the 300 block of Short Street. Officers first encountered Vicky Wilson, 44 of Beloit, who had left the dwelling, according to a police news release.

Wilson had suffered a stab wound to her hand.

Next, officers saw Luis Munoz, 23, Beloit, leave the residence. He had a cut on his hand. Munoz, who was arrested, surrendered without incident, according to the release.

Inside, officers found Bobbie Wilson, 72 of Beloit, lying on a bed with multiple stab wounds.

The Wilsons and Munoz live together, police said, but no motive for the assaults was given.

Both victims and Munoz were treated at Beloit Memorial Hospital.

Bobbie Wilson was transferred to Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville.

A Mercy spokeswoman on Wednesday would say only that Wilson was being treated there.
