The Janesville Bluebirds wrapped up the regular season with an impressive win Saturday night.

Tyler Perkins and Connor Perkins had a goal and two assists each to lead the city’s high school boys co-op team to a 6-1 Big Eight Conference win over Sun Prairie.

Janesville (10-13-1) opened up a 3-0 lead after one period and never looked back.

“It was one of our better all-around games of the season,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said. “We talk about moving the puck and get it up the ice, but you have to go out and execute that on the ice, and we did that tonight.

“We played very unselfish as a team and Michael MacDougall was solid in the net for us.”

Janesville hosts Beloit Memorial in a WIAA Division 1 regional game Thursday night at the Janesville Ice Arena.
