JANESVILLE—An accident on southbound Interstate 90/39 at Janesville backed up traffic around midday Thursday.

The accident, with injuries, was just south of the Highway 14 interchange around 11:40 a.m. Thursday.

The Janesville Fire Department reported transporting two injured people to St. Mary's Janesville Hospital with injuries that were not considered serious.

A Gazette reporter on the scene said at 12:30 p.m. that the scene appears to have been cleared, and slow-moving traffic should start returning to normal.

The end of a guardrail looks torn up from an impact, and a semitrailer truck with its front end damaged was in the median.
