SLC boys hoops: Badger, Elkhorn tumble

A solid third quarter sent Union Grove to a victory over Lake Geneva Badger in boys basketball on Tuesday night.

The Broncos outscored the Badgers by 10 points in the third and went on to win the Southern Lakes Conference matchup 79-70 on their home floor.

The first-place Broncos (10-1 SLC) got 22 points from Andrew Kazikowski and 20 more from Nate Hale.

Lincoln Wieseman had a game-high 25 for Badger, which fell to 4-7 in league play.

UNION GROVE 79, BADGER 70

•  Wilmot 56, Elkhorn 39—The Panthers held the Elks to two first-quarter points on their way to an SLC home victory.

Nate Hensel led all scorers with 16 points for Wilmot. The Panthers, at 9-2, are one game back of leading Union Grove in the SLC standings.

Arik Anderson had 13 points for the Elks, who fell to 4-8 in league play.
