JANESVILLE—A woman charged with helping coerce a teenage runaway into prostitution pleaded not guilty Monday in Rock County Court and was bound over for trial.

Erica L. White, 26, and Patrick X. Cooper, 27, are accused of coercing the Walworth County girl to have sex with men for money at their apartment at 2338 Center Ave., Upper, Janesville, in December and early January.

White's attorney, public defender Brett Blomme, said Monday his client was waiving her right to a preliminary hearing and requesting a substitute judge. The case had been assigned to Judge Kenneth Forbeck.

White remains free on a $5,000 signature bond. Online court records indicate she has changed her address to 1541 Ashland Ave., Janesville.

Cooper is in jail on a cash bond. He also has pleaded not guilty and asked for a judge other than Forbeck. His case was assigned to Judge James Daley.
