Patricia Anne "Pat" Bussey, 83, of Edgerton, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014. She was born on Nov. 24, 1930, in Kenosha, WI, daughter of the late Ray and Minnie(Higgins) Hornby. She spent her childhood in Viroqua, WI, where she graduated from High School. She was united in marriage on Dec. 6, 1952, to James R. Bussey, in Madison, WI. Pat earned her Bachelor of Science degree from UW-Madison in 1968. After teaching Home Economics at Edgerton High School, she opened Albion Prairie Pottery. She sold her wheel thrown stoneware for many years at regional art fairs and in her shop. Pat was an avid reader, loved gardening and enjoyed watching the birds at her feeders. She instilled in her children her passions for gardening, the arts, cooking, and appreciation for the printed word. Her love for growing flowers progressed from African violets to roses, orchids and native prairie. Pat and Jim enjoyed their trips together to Belize, Peru, Guatemala, and Mexico.

Pat is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim of Edgerton; four children: Cathy Bussey of Madison, Dan Bussey of Ridgeway, IA, Ken Bussey of Cambridge, WI, and Melinda (Alistair) Carr of Brooklyn, WI; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother.
