Stunner: Clinton boys fall to Palmyra-Eagle

The Palmyra-Eagle boys basketball team pulled off the stunner of the Rock Valley South Conference season on Friday night.

One night after Clinton routed Beloit Turner to remain in a virtual tie atop the league standings, Palmyra-Eagle stunned the visiting Cougars in a 30-28 victory.

Nate Behr scored six of his game-high 16 points in the decisive fourth quarter as the Panthers improved to 3-9 in league play. The teams were deadlocked at 17 after three.

Eric DeLong led the Cougars, who fell to 5-7.
