TOWN OF BELOIT—A baby missing since Thursday from its crib in a Town of Beloit home has been found alive along an interstate in Iowa, according to a story in the Janesville Gazette.

Kayden Powell was discovered swaddled in clothing and in a bassinet outside a truck stop along Interstate 80 near West Branch, Iowa by area police—who heard the baby's cries, according to an FBI spokesman. The federal agency had been called in to assist the Town of Beloit Police, City of Beloit Police and the Rock County Sheriff's Office.

The infant is doing well and undergoing a medical evaluation before being returned to his mother.

The baby was found near where his aunt was taken into custody at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday. She was being held on a Texas warrant accusing her of fraud. The aunt had left the Beloit home about 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

No charges have yet been issued.
