Marian Rose Jensen, 85, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at Cedar Crest Health Care Center, Janesville. She was born April 21, 1928, on Hafeman Road, Town of Spring Valley, Rock County, the daughter of Albert and Minnie Amanda (Olson) Paulson. Marian married John Jensen Nov. 6, 1948, at Luther Valley Church. He passed away Jan. 23, 2010, after celebrating 61 years of marriage. A 1946 graduate of Orfordville High School, she enjoyed playing with the 4 Jills and a Jeep band, and school plays. A lifelong member of Luther Valley Church, for many years she was a member of the choir, a Sunday School teacher, member of the women’s group and quilting group. She loved music and enjoyed singing with John at weddings, funerals, and many nursing homes. Throughout her life, she was employed at the local Orfordville Nash Auto Dealership, the Parker Pen Company, Janesville, at the grocery store for Kesslers and Dickisons, and Parkview High School, Orfordville.

Survivors include her children: one son, James (Karlene) of Janesville, and one daughter, Debi (Karl Stuvengen) Erbs of Orfordville; grandchildren: Seth Dobson, Brant (Giovanna) Dobson, Graham Jensen, Erin (Matt) Mokrohisky and Brandon (Bri Hansen) Jensen, Tanya (Chris) Keller, and Andrew, Adam, Ryan, and Megan (Skyler Mullen) Erbs; great-grandchildren: Anabella Dobson, Landon and Logan Keller, Chet Mullen; a sister-in-law, Eleanor MacGowan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; son, David;' infant brother; and sister, Mildred Jones.

Funeral services will be held at LUTHER VALLEY LUTHERAN CHURCH at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, with Pastor Mary Jean Zelle officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. A visitation will be held at NEWCOMER-SILVERTHORN CHAPEL ON THE HILL, Hwy 11 and South Coon Island Road, Orfordville, from 5 until 7 p.m. on Sunday evening, and at the CHURCH on Monday from 10 until 11 a.m.
