Milton boys suffer overtime loss
Close games have been the story of the Milton boys basketball team’s season, and Friday was no different.
The Red Hawks used a third-quarter rally to force overtime at Monona Grove, but the Silver Eagles pulled away in the extra session for a 61-54 Badger South victory.
Milton scored just 16 points in the first half but poured in 18 in the third quarter to tie the game at 34.
The teams traded baskets in the fourth and went to overtime tied at 48.
Monona Grove (13-4, 8-2 Badger South) pulled away at the end with free throws.
The Red Hawks got 13 points from Tyler Westrick but fell to 8-11 and 3-7.
