SLC girls basektball: Elkhorn wins in OT

The Elkhorn girls basketball team needed an extra four minutes, but it put away Westosha Central on Thursday night.

The Elks outscored the Falcons 10-5 in overtime to earn a 50-45 Southern Lakes Conference road victory.

The teams traded the lead through an evenly played game in regulation.

Elkhorn’s Erin Schahczinski led all scorers with 26 points. Jaela McGill answered with 21 for Westosha.

The Elks improved to 3-5 in league play and 4-10 overall.

ELKHORN 50, WESTOSHA CENTRAL 45 (OT)

The Comets fell to 1-7 in league play.
