Bernice Olson of Oregon, WI, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the age of 90. Bernice was born on July 17, 1923, to Alfred and Selma (Lunde) Anderson in Edgerton, WI. She married Walton Olson on June 17, 1943, at Central Lutheran Church in Edgerton. Together Bernice and Walton had seven children and farmed for 25 years in the Edgerton area, before moving to the village of Oregon. After being a stay-at-home mom, at the age of 45, Bernice began a career in rental management and real estate. Once she got her license, Bernice worked as a Realtor for over 30 years, before retiring in 2003. Bernice was affiliated with the Stark Company, Shirley Johnson Realty, Oregon Home Realty, and First Weber Realty during her 30 year career.

Bernice is survived by six of her seven children: Dale (Cathy) Olson of Galena, MO, Douglas (Mary) Olson of Washington D.C., Dean (Dana) Olson of Oregon, WI, Bonnie (Jeff) Lofley of Austin, TX, Beth (Steve) Sokolyk of New Braunfels, TX, and Dan Olson of Madison, WI; nineteen grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joan Demrow and Jean (Phil) Reilly, of Edgerton; and many nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Walton Olson; her oldest son, David Olson; her brothers: LeRoy, Robert, and Arnold Anderson; two sisters, Ruth Marie Anderson and Anna Mae Teubert; and her parents, Alfred and Selma Anderson.

Funeral services will be held at CENTRAL LUTHERAN CHURCH in Edgerton, on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. with Reverend James Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, at the ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME in Edgerton, and from 10 a.m. until the start of the services on Saturday at the CHURCH. Interment will be in the Fassett Cemetery in Edgerton, WI. A reception will be held after the services at Creekview Golf Course. The ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOME will be assisting the family with final arrangements. Donations or gifts may be given to Central Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
