Joan Darlene Tinker age 76, of Barnes, WI, passed away at home with her family by her side on Saturday Feb. 1, 2014. Joan was born on Dec.4, 1937 in Beloit, WI, to Howard and Gladys (Klug) Bakke. Joan attended Pleasant Valley Grade School until 8th grade; this was a one room country school with one teacher. Then she attended and graduated from Beloit Memorial High School. Joan married Frederick Tinker and to this union two sons were born, George and David. She worked for Brown Swiss, Beloit Corporation, she sold Tupperware and did food demo's at grocery stores. Joan enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, the altar guild at Trinity Lutheran, doing puzzles, playing board games and cards.

Joan is survived by her son, David Tinker of Milton, WI; brothers, Robert and wife, Nancy Bakke of Beloit, WI, and Allen Bakke of Barnes, WI; four nephews; three nieces; four great nieces; two great nephews; and one great great nephew. Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick; son, George; and brother, Donald.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb 7th, at the TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH in Hayward, WI, with Pastor Mark Tripplet officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service, 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH. Online condolences may be left at www.andersonnathan.com
