Parker boys grab nonconference road win
The Janesville Parker High boys basketball team built up a 14-point lead through three quarters and then survived a Waukesha South fourth-quarter rally to down the Blackshirts 43-41 in a nonconference game Tuesday night.
The Vikings led 34-20 going into the final quarter before Waukesha South’s Tyree Pope scored 10 points to lead the fourth-quarter rally.
“We executed well in the second and third quarters,” Parker coach Ryan Masterson said. “We turned the ball over a lot in the fourth.”
Travis Shepler led the Vikings with 13 points. Cullen Osmond added 10.
“This win will be good for morale no matter who it was against,” Masterson said.
The Vikings will return to Big Eight Conference action with a game at Madison East on Friday night.
