Ellie Woodman scored twice, including the game-winning goal, as the Rock County Fury topped Ozaukee 4-1 on Saturday in Beloit.

After the teams traded first-period goals, Woodman gave the Fury—the area’s girls co-op high school hockey team—the lead for good at 12:32 of the second.

“We changed some things up tonight,” Fury coach Darrel Moore said. “Girls were forced to earn their spots, and they stepped up. I think our first line of Kayla Kaufman, Katie Maegli and Jessica Jerome used (its) speed well.”

Maegli, who assisted on Rock County’s first two goals, scored to make it 3-1 just four minutes after Woodman’s goal.

Kaufman finished with two assists.

Molly Gross stopped 16 shots for the Fury, who improved to 11-8-2.
