Gloria M. Burr, age 82, of Janesville, passed away Saturday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2014, at Mercy Hospital & Trauma Center. She was born July 13, 1931, in Richmond, IN, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gladys (Benjamin) Burr. After her graduation from High School, Gloria enlisted in the Women's Army Corps (WACS). After her discharge from serving her country, she worked in Richmond as the Administrative Assistant to the president of Henry J. Eavey Co. She moved to Janesville, where she was employed for many years as the Accounts Payable & Payroll Supervisor at Giddings & Lewis (Gilman Co.) until her retirement. She also owned and operated "The Lemon Frog", a ceramics shop on Center Ave. with her friend, Beverly Hoover. She was a member of Gilman's "Ancient Order of Oldsters", enjoyed taking bus trips, and loved music and singing. She loved animals, and especially dogs!

Gloria is survived by her two nephews, Steve (Carol) Bussen and Barry (Geraldine) Bussen; her dear lifelong friend, Beverly Hoover; and Bev's sisters, Charlotte Parsons and Betty Woodstock; and by Dorrie's beloved, Jon (Jackie) Hoover, Bev's son. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Janice Bussen, Roberta Harper, and Catherine Lima; and by a brother, Chauncey Burr.

As per Gloria's wishes, there will be no formal services. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Richmond, IN. Memorials in her name may be made to the Rock County Humane Society, 222 S. Arch St., Janesville, WI 53548.
