Girls basketball: Elkhorn comes from behind to win

Abbie Kolacke scored eight of her team-high 15 points in the fourth quarter as Elkhorn came back to beat visiting Burlington, 49-47, in a Southern Lakes Conference girls basketball game on Friday night.

The Elks trailed by a point heading into the fourth quarter, where they outscored the Demons 14-11.

Kolacke went 6-for-10 from the stripe in the decisive fourth quarter. Erin Schahczinski added 13 points for the Elks, while Bianca Trombley scored a dozen.

Both teams are now 2-5 in league play.

Badger

• Oregon 66, Milton 47—A second upset was not in the cards for the Red Hawks.

They trailed by just four to Oregon after three quarters of a Badger Conference girls basketball game, but the Panthers held Milton to just four points in the fourth.

Milton beat Oregon, which is one spot outside the top 10 in Division 2, the first time the teams met.

Sydney Harms scored 19 points for Milton. Maddy Gits, who will play for Saint Louis University, scored a game-high 30.
