Therese “Tess” A. Keegan, age 85, of Janesville, died on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Madison. She was born in Fulton Township, on Jan. 9, 1929, the daughter of John and Adelaide (Thiele) Broderick. She married Ralph Lohry in 1948, and then married Philip H. Keegan on Feb. 23, 1968. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1996. Tess retired in 1995, from VNHCS and CCS. She served on the board for Senior Services, working closely with the Rock County Council on Aging, and was on the planning committee for the Class of 1946. She was a faithful member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church. She loved singing, arts and crafts, an avid reader, and loved to travel. Tess dearly loved her children, and her dog, Goliath.

Tess is survived by her six children: David Lohry of South Padre Island, TX, Thomas Lohry of Janesville, Patrick Lohry of Cumming, GA, Cynthia M. Wilson of Janesville, Karen (Dale) White of Janesville, and Bridget (James) Strube of Saukville, WI; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Hoppenjan of Milwaukee, and Patricia Seefeldt of Janesville; and two sisters-in-law, Grace Broderick of Mankato, MN, and Ver Broderick of Bellville, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers: John, Joe, and Francis Broderick; and sister, Rosie Nichols.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014, at ST. JOHN VIANNEY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH with Rev. Donn Heiar officiating. A visitation will be held on Monday from 4 until 6 p.m. at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY and again on Tuesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the CHURCH. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, the Rock County Council on Aging or Senior Services.
