Janesville Jets burn Soo
The afternoon onslaught started early Sunday for the Janesville Jets.
Drew Callin opened the scoring after 37 seconds, and Janesville eventually beat the Soo Eagles 7-2. Six different Jets scored in the game, including a pair of goals for Robin Hoglund and a power-play tally by Adam Winborg in the third period.
While the win was lopsided, it still only counts as one victory in the NAHL standings, but it does move the Jets a little closer to the Springfield Junior Blues, who currently hold the last playoff spot.
Nathan Klebe got the start in goal for the Eagles in lieu of regular starter Landon Trutt. Klebe allowed three goals in the first 6:31 of the game while only stopping two shots. Trutt came into the game at that point, but the damage had been done. Logan Halladay made 36 saves for the Jets.
