Florence Marie (Haberl) Bergman, 82, of Whitewater, passed away Jan. 21, 2014, at Fairhaven Retirement Community in Whitewater. Florence was the first child born to Joseph and Annie Haberl on Nov. 24, 1931, in Fort Atkinson. She was joined by three brothers: John (Loraine), Ed and Jerry (Rachel). She married Richard Bergman on June 22, 1952. Together they moved to Whitewater, and began their family of four boys: Rick (Lucy) of Lake Geneva, James (Jill) and David (Christine), both of Whitewater, and Thomas (Paula) of Fort Atkinson. She was employed by the Whitewater Unified School District and was recognized for over 25 years of outstanding service. Floss was quite a character with a great sense of humor. She quickly made friends with each person she met. Floss loved her family and looked forward to spending time together. She inspired her sons to become great cooks.

Floss will join her beloved Dick, who passed away on Nov. 2, 1996. In addition to her children and brothers, she leaves behind seven grandchildren: Jamie (David) Hawkins of Pell Lake, Jaclyn (Jesse) Kraft of Ixonia, Nikki Bergman (JD Garfield) of Springfield, MO, Jenna (Stephen Baumhofer) of Edgerton, Michael Bergman of Lake Geneva, and Clarice and Benjamin Bergman of Whitewater; three great-grandchildren: Benjamin, Bradon and Hannah; and her sister-in-law, Innes Bergman of California.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon on Saturday,Jan. 25, 2014, at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1225 W. Main Street in Whitewater. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. on Saturday at the CHURCH until time of service. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
