Janesville police investigate Stop-N-Go robbery

JANESVILLE—Police are searching for a man they said robbed a Janesville convenience store early Monday and made off with money and cigarettes.

Police said a white male entered the Stop-N-Go at 714 Center Ave. about 12:30 a.m., showed the clerk a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money and Newport cigarettes.

The robber is described as a white male, about 6 feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a green parka with fur around the hood, black pants and white shoes.

The clerk was uninjured.
