Highway 14 east of Emerald Grove has been reopened to motorists after a two-vehicle accident Monday night.

The accident occurred about 8:10 p.m. on the highway near Kemp Road. Ambulances and rescue units were called to the scene from Clinton and Janesville, according to the Rock County 911 Center.

The highway was closed and traffic rerouted for more than an hour.

Emergency communications monitored by the Gazette indicated at least two and maybe three persons injured, but the 911 center would not confirm those.
