Stone Klingamon went 5-0 to lead Janesville Craig’s wrestling team to a third-place finish at the Dave VanDuser Duals on Saturday in South Milwaukee.

Defending Division 2 champion Luxemburg-Casco won the team title with a 5-0 record, while West Allis Central was second at 4-1.

Klingamon, a freshman, went 5-0 at 113 pounds. Nate Farrell, Kyle LeCaptain and Anthony Skrede all went 4-1 for the Cougars.

“Luxemburg-Casco had the best team in the state in any division last year, and even though we lost to them today, we wrestled pretty well against them,” Craig coach Mark Mullen said.

“I’m real happy with third place. Most of the losses our better wrestlers had came against state-ranked kids.”

Craig hosts Verona in a Big Eight Conference dual meet Tuesday night.
