Ronald Allen Walmer, age 58, died unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at home. He was born on July 1, 1955, in Monroe, WI, the son of Alvin and Phyllis (Gransee) Walmer. He graduated from Evansville High School class of 1973, playing football and wrestling. Ron married Patricia Heffron on Nov. 19, 1977, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 3, 1994. He enjoyed his motorcycles, fast cars and his pride and joy - red pick up. He spent most of his working years as a warehouse manager at various businesses. He also owned and operated the Evansville Bowl with his son, Craig. He was a fan of John Wayne and a favorite pastime was watching western movies. Most of all, Ron loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Ron is survived by one son, Brent (Lindsay) Walmer; his parents, Alvin and Phyllis Walmer; siblings: Corrine (Terry) Langston of Evansville, Keith Walmer of Utah, Sheryl (Brad) Goodspeed, Jeannie (Jon) Hazlett, all of Evansville; grandchildren: Jada, Brock, Dawson and Phoenix; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his wife, Patricia; and son, Craig.

A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at the WARD-HURTLEY FUNERAL HOME, Evansville, WI, with Randy Krause officiating. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery Belleville, WI. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME on Saturday.
