It's a cold, snowy January weekend. You can embrace your inner lover of winter and go snowmobiling in Twin Lakes. Or you can stay in the warmth of the indoors and mingle with singles in Lake Geneva, learn more about the author of Winnie the Pooh in Delavan or try your free-throw skills in Mukwonago.

Mukwonago Knights of Columbus hold their annual free throw contest, Jan. 19, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at St. James Parish's Activity Center, County Highway NN, Mukwonago. No entry fee; first place winners go on to a district, then state competition.
