Rosemary Collins, Janesville, WI (1946-2014)
February 29, 1946 - January 9, 2014
Rosemary Collins, age 67, of Janesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. She was born in Strawberry, AR, on Feb. 28, 1946, the daughter of the late Lewis B. "Buddy" and Mira W. "Virgie" (Whitmire) Moss. Rosemary graduated from Strawberry High School and later married Floyd T. "Tom" Collins on Sept. 13, 1964, in Janesville, WI. Rosemary was a member of Roxbury Church of Christ. Rosemary's life was guided by her strong faith in the Lord and her love of her family. Her attention to detail was evident in everything she did. Her decorating skills showcased her home and the gardens around her house. She lived by the cliché; "That if something difficult arose, it was not a problem, but an opportunity to make things better!" She was a very kind hearted, loving, gracious, faithful, and non-pretentious woman, who was an excellent role model to her family. In 1984, Rosemary graduated as a straight "A" student from UW-Rock County with two associate degrees. After receiving her degrees, she worked for Quality Grain Service for ten years.
Rosemary is survived by her husband of over 49 years, Tom of Janesville; and three daughters: Winona (Jerry Dale) McCall of Cabot, AR, Mary Beth (Jon) Grice of Janesville, and Andrea (Jim) Smith of Cave City, AR; grandchildren whom she adored: Justin (Abby) McCall, Dustin Smith, Colton (Summer) McCall, Cameron (Kate) Hanson, B. Ross Hanson, Zac (Jordan) Smith, Katelyn McCall, Benjamin McCall and Joshua McCall; and three great-granddaughters: Carley, Audrey and Kaloni. She is further survived by her sister, Mira (Thomas) King of AR; her brother, Terry (Debbie) Moss of AR; and two step-grandchildren: Katie Banker, and her four children: Nady, Ashton, Tyler and Colton; and Christy Grice, and her three children: Ayden, Allie and Andrew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson: Josiah McCall.
A Memorial Service honoring Rosemary's life will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at ROXBURY CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2103 Roxbury Rd., Janesville. Her son-in-law, Jon Grice will be officiating. A time of Celebration of Life and fellowship will follow the service at the CHURCH. Memorials would be greatly appreciated, if they were made to the charities that Rosemary supported: ECHO or Pregnancy Helpline of Janesville.
A warm and heartfelt thank you to all of the staff at Agrace HospiceCare, and the doctors and nurses at Dean Clinic who have cared for Rosemary these last few years.
All of you are true angels!
