John Louis "Jack" Schumacher, age 84, of Edgerton, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at his home. He was born April 17, 1929, in Edgerton, the son of the late John C. and Emma (Fritzke) Schumacher. After high school, Jack served his county by joining the Army. When he came home he married Dolores Goede June 27, 1951, at St. John Lutheran Church. Jack drove whey trucks to area farms for about 10 years before going to work at Burns Brothers Bus Company. He did mechanic work, drove school buses and later became manager. He retired in 1997, after 35 years of service. He loved to go fishing, hunting, camping and sailing. He was a member of the Edgerton Bowhunters.

Jack is survived by his two children, John G. (Debbie) Schumacher of Milton, WI, and Ann (David) Schemel of Racine, WI; four grandchildren: Beth McGovern, Michael Schumacher, Abby Schemel and Sara Schemel; five great-grandchildren: Landen Michael Schumacher, Kiera Ann Schumacher, Michael John Schumacher, II, Cameron Zachary McGovern and Jackson Luvern Schumacher (due 3/9/14); a niece, Susan Peehl; and nephew, Doug Peehl. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma; his wife, Dolores; and a sister, Betty Smith.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, at ST. JOHN LUTHERAN CHURCH with Pastor Carl Seeger officiating. Burial will be in Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of services Tuesday at the CHURCH.
