January 14, 2014

Indian Trails District, Glacier’s Edge Council, BSA, would like to thank everyone who supported our sixth annual “Keeping the Dream Alive” spaghetti dinner. Special thanks to Lycon Inc., our major sponsor for this year’s event.

We would also like to thank St. William’s parish for use of its facilities, Knute’s Bar and Grill, Orfordville, for donating the spaghetti, meat and sauce, and the North and South Rock County chapters of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for financial support. Also thanks to MacFarlane Pheasant Farm for its support for the billboards. Thanks to King Enterprises for its financial support.

We appreciate all of the individual and business donations, which made our dinner a success.

Many of our Scout units staffed this event. Thanks to the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and adult leaders whose time and talents provided the cohesive teamwork needed for the evening. Carolee McCalmont, Bill Goepfert and the leaders and youth of St. William’s troop prepared a great meal for all to enjoy. Many thanks to Mark Sommerfeldt and crew for coordinating and running the Pinewood Derby race for all new Scouts.

Most important, thanks to residents who attended our event. The dinner’s proceeds will go directly to providing local disadvantaged youth a weeklong summer camp experience at Camp Indian Trails in 2014. You are “Keeping the Dream Alive” in the life of a child.
