Boys H.S. hoops: Elkhorn falls to Waterford

Waterford jumped out to a 12-point lead after the first quarter and held off Elkhorn, 50-41, in Southern Lakes Conference boys basketball action on Monday night.

The Elks outscored the Wolverines 36-33 in the final three quarters, but by that point the damage had been done.

Waterford improved to 4-2 in league play; the loss dropped Elkhorn to 2-4.

Arik Anderson led Elkhorn with a dozen points, while Alex Easterday added 11. Waterford's Greyson Wolf-Dixon led all scorers with 15.

Nonconference

Jefferson 57, Delavan-Darien 39—Dylan Ott scored 15 points for the Eagles, and Jefferson pulled away from Delavan-Darien for a nonconference win. Ott was one of three double-digit scorers for the Eagles.

William Brown scored 10 for the Comets, who trailed by just six at halftime.
