Rock Valley girls roundup: Evansville beats Parkview

The Evansville Blue Devils turned a five-point halftime deficit into a six-point lead at the end of the third quarter on their way to beating Orfordville Parkview in a Rock Valley Conference girls basketball crossover game.

The Vikings’ defense broke down in the third, putting the visiting Blue Devils in the bonus early in the second half. Evansville outscored Parkview 12-5 from the free-throw line in the game.

Evansville’s Brielle Greenleaf and Parkview’s Aleah Warden shared the scoring lead. Each had nine points in the game.

• Brodhead 59, East Troy 15—Cardinals senior Carly Mohns scored 24 points and Brodhead didn’t allow more than five points in any quarter.

Katrina Santos had nine points for the visiting Trojans.

 Jefferson 56, Turner 49—Katy Heine scored 16 points as the Eagles came from behind in the fourth quarter for a crossover road victory.

Jefferson trailed 39-37 after three quarters.

The Trojans’ Lindsey Lauterbach led all scorers with 18 points.
