Charlotte M. Phelps, 74, of Edgerton, WI, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her family on Jan. 6, 2014. She was born April 16, 1939, in Baraboo, WI, daughter of Virgil and Melba (McConnell) Rhinehart. Charlotte was united in marriage with Robert A. Phelps on Dec. 20, 1958, in Baraboo, WI. She worked at Edgerton Lamp and Shade for many years and as a dedicated Angel in her C.N.A work at the Kelly House in Evansville, WI. Charlotte was an avid member of the Fulton Congregational Church and the Women’s Fellowship.

Charlotte is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Robert A. Phelps; and her four children: Pamela (Duane) Murwin of Fulton, WI, Cynthia (Kevin) Phelps-Lee of Sparta, WI, Roy (Kathy) Phelps of Edgerton, WI, and Robert V. (Melissa) Phelps of Edgerton, WI. She had 13 grandchildren who she loved very much: Thomas (Sarah) McLean, Tim (Melissa) Mathews, Tammy (Bob Kettleson) Oberdeck, Sarah (Matt) Weaver, Matthew (Michelle Henn) Pollock, Virgil, Ryan, and William Phelps, Ross and Colin Phelps, Jim, Christopher (Kristen) and Amanda Lee; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, John (Nancy) Rhinehart of Birchwood, WI; three sisters: Alice Rhinehart, Kay (Floyd) Herriot of Reedsburg, WI, Lora (Jack) Harrison of Baraboo; a sister-in-law, Cheryl Rhinehart of Reedsburg; and a special aunt, Florence Hirst of Reedsburg. She was loved by many nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law, Edna Alma Miller; brothers: Robert Virgil, Keith and Thomas Rhinehart; a sister-in-law, Sandy Rhinehart; and three nephews: David Foley, Josh and Brian Rhinehart.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, at the FULTON CHURCH with Rev. Larry MacKenzie officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fulton Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday at the CHURCH from 11 a.m. until the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Charlotte’s name. ALBRECHT FUNERAL HOMES & CREMATION SERVICES, EDGERTON are assisting the family.
