Dorothy Anne Kisting, age 71, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2014, after a long and courageous battle against cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born on July 7, 1942, in Janesville, the daughter of Wilbert T. and Dorothy J. (Topliss) Byrne. She was a proud graduate of Mercy School of Nursing, and especially devoted herself to the care of new mothers, and babies for over 40 years. Her compassion towards others was the cornerstone of her nursing career. She was united in marriage with Lawrence H. Kisting in Janesville, on June 4, 1966, and together they raised four children. Dorothy spent countless hours attending their sporting and school events and talking with them on the phone.
