Forward Janesville announces awards for businesses, individuals
JANESVILLE—Forward Janesville has identified the local people and businesses that will be recognized at the organization's 13th annual awards banquet Thursday, Jan. 23.
The event, sponsored by McGladrey, will begin at 11 a.m. at the Pontiac Convention Center, 2809 N. Pontiac Drive, Janesville.
This year's winners are:
-- Community Improvement Award: Culver's of Janesville.
-- Diversity Award: ECHO.
-- Educator of the Year: Steve Huth, School District of Janesville.
-- Ambassador of the Year: Jaysen Jorgensen, State Farm Insurance.
-- FJI Volunteer of the Year: Debbie Cook, McGladrey.
-- Entrepreneur of the Year: Joni Cullen and Lisa Saxer-Buros (posthumously), Madelyn Co.
-- Business of the Year, 50 or fewer employees: Rinehart Targets.
-- Business of the Year, more than 50 employees: Johnson Bank/Johnson Insurance.
-- Lifetime Achievement Award: Jackie Wood.
Tickets are $35 for members or $375 for a corporate table of eight, which includes priority seating and a company sign.
